Vegan charity Viva! Approached PBN on a number of occasions throughout 2019-2021 for creative concept and development of billboards they were distributing around the UK. These include, COVID-19 health messaging, the climate emergency, and challenging people on their consumption of farmed animals. The focus of all the work we have done for Viva! Has been to produce the highest amount of impact, with billboards that get people to stop and look in a way that is shocking, powerful and thought provoking.

Our designer used bold and bright colors on the COVID-19 billboards to highlight the important statements in this message. The billboard's call to action was to highlight that switching to a healthy plant-based diet is key to lessening a person's chances of developing a severe case of COVID-19. ‘I need to go vegan’ is the emotional response we wanted to evoke with these billboards. In our pet vs farm animal billboards, the idea behind these was to provoke people. We asked “When did you last kill an animal?” - messaging designed to get people to stop and think about their food choices, including the similarities between pigs and dogs. Our co-founder Robbie Lockie produced original sketches and ideas, these were then passed to our senior designer who finalized and developed them for print.
